We're back in the studio recording our 2nd album. we will be recording @ Vudu Studios in Freeport again. Check back here for updates on the cd.

We are back from our month long tour in the United Kingdom and are ready to rock out for our home town fans in Manhattan. (This is the only show scheduled in the NYC / Long Island area until after the new year so come out and party with us.)

On Thursday, August 16 Banooba will kick off a Midwest Tour making stops in Missouri, Colorado and Kansas. Please be sure to tell your friends in the area to come on out and join the fun, as it's guaranteed to be a great time!

After the Midwest Tour, Banooba will return to the Northeast for several shows before heading over to the UK for a 25-show tour of England, Scotland and Wales during the month of October.

What's up all!! Tonight (Friday) we'll be playing in Long Beach and Saturday we're making our long over due return to Da Funky Phish to celebrate Rob and Kevin T.'s Birthday.

We will be filming and recording both of our shows this weekend. Make sure you come out and smile for the camera.

Friday, June 8th, we'll be playing @ Harry's in Elmira Heights. Make sure to start spreading the word.

Saturday, June 9th, we're returning to NYC for TWO sets @ Ace of Clubs. Rumor has it this will be the first of a series of New York dates being filmed for our upcoming DVD. Make sure you guys bring the energy.

Banooba is a FINALIST in this year's Cosmic Break Contest. The winner of this competition will perform in front of up to 20,000+ people at this summer's 10,000 Lakes Festival.

Voting is closed, winner will be announced on Friday June 1st.

Here are some things to look forward to in the coming months.

Banooba will be playing at Mulchay's in Wantagh on 11/9. We are very excited to be playing on this stage. We need all the Banoobians to come out in full force!!!

Banooba will also be opening for The Sam Kininger Band in October & November. These guys are sick. Make sure not to miss out on these shows.

On Thursday, 8/31/06 JBE-TV will be fiming our last performance at the Jones Beach Band Shell as well as conducting an interview. We invite all of our fans to come out to join us for this. Filming will begin at 7pm sharp so plan to be there by 6:30.

JBE-TV is a music themed variety show recorded live at beautiful Jones Beach Long Island, New York. An entertaining and informative power ½ hour weekly TV show, JBE-TV's main objective will be to spotlight some of the many talented bands that grace the renowned Jones Beach Band Shell each season. The artists featured come from all over the Tri-State area.

Well folks, it's been one hell of a summer at Jones Beach. It's hard to believe that this Thursday is the last show we'll be playing at Jones Beach for the summer. There have been some memorable moments throughout the summer.

Here are some just to name a few:

• The monster jam we had with our pals Lewd Buddha. It was magical the way we came out of Pete's drum solo into that madness.
  
• Then there was the Craig Magnano's priceless reaction when he saw Captain Banana come out from backstage while he was ripping a solo. This was his first encounter with the Banana.
  
• The Chicken Wangs version we did with Mauzer 2 weeks ago was over the top.
  
• The most memorable thing for us is all you crazy fans that kept coming back week after week. Thank you for the support and thanks for partying with us!!
